Clinical Supervision and Social Work Services

I have been a practising social worker since 1998. I have experience working in the NGO sector as well as within District Health Boards. Areas I have worked in include: parenting support, stopping violence services, child and youth mortality review, adult child and youth mental health services, health promotion and child protection work.

I am passionate about clinical supervision and the opportunities it provides for us. For those working in social services and other caring roles, the most important tool we use each day is ourselves. Making time to actively reflect on the work we do supports us to work safely with those we provide services to. It also enables us to maintain our wellbeing while improving our skills as we work to be the best that we can in a range of roles.
